For the fifth year, Brielle’s Brigade has returned to participate in the 31st annual Pan-Massachusetts
Challenge (PMC) to raise money for The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. The makeup of the team may change
from year to year, but our commitment and determination to raise money grows stronger thanks to your continuous support. We
are looking forward to another unbelievable PMC experience and are driven by the generous support and encouragement of family,
friends and local business partners. Since we came together in 2006 as a small group of
seven riders, the team has raised more than $445,000 for this worthy cause. In
2010, our goal is to surpass $550,000 in fundraising for the PMC. Once again, an exciting range of activities and sponsorship
opportunities are on tap, so please read on for more details on the Pan-Mass Challenge, our team and how you too can help.
NEWS FLASH: On Thursday, August 5th, Team founder and captain Ed Moses and Brielle's
dad, Bill Laplante, were interviewed on WWLP TV22 Mass Appeal. Check out the interview by clicking the link: http://www.wwlp.com/dpp/mass_appeal/community/pan-mass-challenge
As said many times this year..."let's put
a bow on this and WRAP IT UP! August 6th, a beautiful Friday morning saw a group of dedicated cyclists gather
at the NY state line to begin our journey across the state of MA, each with a story to tell about why they ride. We
were blessed with the best weather we have seen in years. Our ride included a fanstastic police escort from Westfield
MA all the way out past Palmer MA, along with folks cheering and encouraging us the entire way. The official ride began
Saturday morning at 5:30 AM and was filled with great memories and take your breath away moments. When it wrapped up
on Sunday in Provincetown MA, we had logged over 280 miles in three days and were on our way to surpassing over a HALF MILLION
DOLLARS in fundraising since the team formed five years ago. THANK YOU ALL for your support!
HUGE THANK YOU! Our
ride is done, but our efforts to raise money for cancer research is not. If you haven't donated yet, please do what
you can to support our efforts. Click on a rider name to make a secure donation online. EVERY PENNY COUNTS!!!

About the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge ( P M C)
• The Pan-Massachusetts Challenge is the
nation’s original fundraising bike-a-thon and today raises more money than any other athletic fundraising event in the
country. • The two-day ride (August 7-8) begins
in Sturbridge and ends in Provincetown for a total of 192 miles. Most of Team Brielle’s Brigade actually begins a day
earlier on August 6th at the New York-MA border for a total of 300 miles over three days. • Since 1980, the PMC
has contributed $270 million to cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. • In 2009, more
than 5,000 cyclists contributed $30 million to the Jimmy Fund. The 2010 goal is $31 million. • Since 2007, 100
cents of every rider-dollar raised went directly to the Jimmy Fund, which supports the fight against cancer at the Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute.
